Even though the support that we've had for the blog is immense, as L highlighted in her post about bullying, one negative comment can hurt a lot more than a positive one can heal.
I was a little bit upset yesterday and a dear friend (who I clearly don't speak to enough!) sent me this:
Lots of people tell me I'm good with words but I was actually stunned by the sheer intelligence and accuracy of his response, and many kudos go to him for being the sole person to manage to cheer me up.
To the people posting/saying nasty things: Having an opinion is something that we value strongly; but it doesn't give you the right to dismiss the opinions of others as irrelevant.
Just because I would do something that you wouldn't do doesn't make me inferior, it just makes me different to you. And all that means is, our morals are different and you don't have to do the things I do!
My mind has been opened up a lot by the people I've encountered, and it's something for which I'm grateful. Judge me all you want (I do it to myself also sometimes haha) but don't be a narrow minded idiot, and please, please don't be a keyboard warrior.. it's not a good colour on you.
